Is It a Good Idea to Loan Money?
You Decide.
Someone asks to borrow money. Before you say yes, read these, then you decide.
People who don’t respect money and want to use your money to pay off their bills don’t respect you. They need a new mindset.
Material Over Necessity
If they chose the bag over the bills, don’t let them choose your savings next.
When wants keep winning over needs, your loan just becomes the next want.
The Debt Spiral
You can’t lend someone out of a spiral. You can only slow down how fast they pull you in.
Money doesn’t fix a pattern. It funds it.
If the habit hasn’t changed, the loan is just a delay, not a rescue.
Gambling, Then Borrowing
Gambling away the bills and then asking me to pay them? That’s a request I don’t entertain.
If the rent money went to the bet, my money won’t be the next bet.
I won’t fund the loss so the game can keep going.
Stewardship & Helping Without Lending
Protecting your resources isn’t selfishness. It’s stewardship.
Your money is a seed, not a bandage. Plant it where it will grow.
Love them, but don’t fund the pattern.
The greatest help isn’t a loan. It’s showing someone how to never need one.
So, is it a good idea? You decide.
